  7. URLsync Desktop is the complementary tool for the freeware URLsync(*) program.
  8. This desktop program allows you to enter these Websites on your desktop computer, 
  9. and then HotSync them to your Palm. It will read Internet Explorer favorites and 
  10. automatically add them to the database. You can transfer records to a spreadsheet
  11. using the CSV file format. Thanks to this program, you can keep Websites you bookmark
  12. on the road in sync with your desktop computer. Shareware,fully functional for 15 days.

  15. The Palm component of the software is a database application to store your favorite
  16. internet URLs, usernames, passwords of subscribed sites and additional notes on your
  17. PalmPilot(TM). It is distributed as FreeWare. You can use it as a standalone application
  18. without this desktop tool.

  24. -Requires MS Internet Explorer version 4 or later 
  25. -Requires HotSync Software installed
  26. -Requires URLsync(*) PalmPilot program (freeware and included in this distribution)
  27. -It reads your IE favorites and creates URLsync palm db, after next hotsync you will have
  28.  your bookmarks in your Palm Computing Device.
  29. -Two different modes allows you to transfer entries in all or selected categories.
  30. -Ability to transfer your palm db. records (username, passwords, Notes) to any spreadsheet
  31.  program by using CSV file option. 
  32. -Direct transfer option to Excel sheet if you have Excel97 installed. 
  33. -Merging of favorites (created on the road) to your desktop is possible.
  34. -You can even merge your home and work favorites folders if you do hotsync both at home and
  35.  at work like me.
  36. -Can find duplicate sites under different categories.

  54. INSTALLATION
  55. ------------
  56. Unzip all files in this distribution to a blank folder. Run the URLSYNC.EXE file.
  57. If you get a required dll (MSVBVM50.DLL) not found message you have to download
  58. it and copy to same folder or preferably \WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder. You can
  59. download this dll from my site (http://selcuk.cjb.net) as well as other sites.
  60. You can create a shortcut on your desktop by using Tools menu.

  63. HOW TO UPGRADE
  64. --------------
  65. Simply unzip all files to previous folder where Urlsync.exe resides.
  66. You can overwrite previous files if asked.

  71. file UrlSDesktopMan.html with your browser.
